The 'Maji ni Haki' (Water is a Right) survey is a collection of interviews and focused group discussions targeting water supplier youth groups across Mathare's 6 wards. Together with the Mathare Social Justice Center's Water Justice Campaign, Zira Water has engaged with more than 20 groups with the aim of not only understanding the depth of the water supply crisis, but also ensure treatment modules are managed by the group members, guaranteeing community ownership of water infrastructure.
